Today is Addy's 365th day on this Earth. A year ago, I was so excited to bring a child into this world, Scott was equally so. Looking back on the year, I can think of a hundred things that were hard, and a thousand things that were worth it.
Some things I learned about parenting:
Make sure you put a new diaper on the baby after you change her.
Sleep is a rare commodity and should be done any chance given(even if she is so cute when she sleeps)
Car seats lose their safeness if not buckled into the car.
She likes carpet. As in: like it to eat.
Eminem songs do not make good lullaby's(At least not always)
If you don't eat the veggies, neither will she.
Things like make-up and shaved legs are forgotten.
Crawling is cute, till she gets the hang of it.
Aunts and Uncles are an invaluable asset.
No matter if the pictures you take of her are blurry, it's still hard to delete them.
The recycle bin on your computer holds blurry pictures for a long time.
Peas must be frozen to be edible, corn must not.
Babies throwing food is a blessing; You mop your floor more often and get to test your patience.(still trying to grasp this one)Oh and by the way, she can't throw peanut butter off her :)
Rock paper scissors is the only fair way to determine who's turn it is to change the diaper.
"Mom, of course food tastes much better if I don't have to be in a high chair."
Everything Addy does is cute.
Everything she does is precious.
Heavenly Father really, really trusts and loves us.
